BioFlorida Bioscience Career and Education Exposition -- The annual Bioscience Career and Education Exposition is designed to motivate students to consider careers in bioscience through school visitations by scientists, a bioscience portfolio of careers and information, and science lesson plans. The Exposition is held at schools across the state of Florida in April.

Education, Florida Department of -- Access information ranging from statistics and reports to curriculum and standards.

Florida Association of Science Teachers -- The Florida Association of Science Teachers is the state's largest non-profit professional organization dedicated to improving science education at all levels, pre-school though college.

Florida BioHistory -- Learn about significant milestones in the historical development of Florida's biotechnology & medical technology industry.

Florida Junior Academy of Science -- The Florida Junior Academy of Science (FJAS) stives to discover and encourage scientific aptitude in Florida students and to foster fellowship between FJAS and the Florida Academy of Science. To meet these goals, FJAS holds an annual competition of middle and high school students in March.

Florida Parent Teachers Association (PTA) -- The Florida PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Florida Science Olympiad -- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments.

K-12 Traveling Science Programs - Florida -- A list of science programs that visit schools in the state of Florida.

Miami Museum of Science -- The mission of the Miami Museum of Science is to inspire people of all ages and cultures to enjoy science and technology, in order to better understand ourselves and our world. The museum features a planetarium, wildlife center, special exhibits, and an award-winning education department.

Scripps Florida Education and Outreach Program -- The Scripps Florida Educational Outreach Program, funded through a generous grant from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust in Florida, provides a variety of programs for students at the high school and college levels and for middle school and high school teachers to participate in research activities on the campus. A special emphasis is placed on identifying and recruiting students who are historically underrepresented in the sciences.

SPICE GK-12 Program, University of Florida -- SPICE (Science Partners in Inquiry-Based Collaborative Education) is a partnership between the Alachua County Public Schools and the University of Florida. The primary goals of SPICE are to (1) enrich the education of graduate students by increasing their communication skills and fostering a long-term commitment to outreach activities (2) encourage under-privileged middle school students to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines by enhancing science education, and (3) deveop a strong and enduring partnership between the University of Florida and K-12 schools.
